Music MinistryList Item 1
Join together in song, under the talented direction of our Director of Music Ministries, Mr. Ernie Houle. Music Ministry consists of Adult Choir and Hand Bell Choir. Adult choir rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm. Hand Bell Choir rehearsals are seasonal and are on Tuesday evenings at 7:00. All adult rehearsals are held in the main church. All ministries are taught music theory. If interested in this ministry, please contact Ernie Houle after weekend Masses or email ehoule@saint-michael.com.

Altar SocietyList Item 2
This group arranges flowers for the Sanctuary, keeps inventory of supplies for Mass (candles, hosts, wine, etc.), coordinates Church decorating at Christmas and Easter, laundering altar linens. If interested in this important ministry, please contact the Rectory at 978-459-0713

Eucharistic AdorationList Item 3
Tuesdays from 6:00 - 7:00pm in the Baptistry. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance. Stay for as long as you can up until 7:00pm!

Finance Council
Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Altar Server
Boys and girls from grade four and above who assist the priest at the liturgy during Mass.

Hospitality
This group helps prepare for special occasions.

Baptism Preparation
Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith.

Offertory Counters
A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers about once a month.

Finance Council
Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Parish Pastoral Council
The PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Michael Parish.

Protecting God’s Children
All of the clergy, office staff, and every volunteer is required to attend a Virtus—Protecting God’s Children training session, an archdiocese sponsored program which teaches an awareness of those persons and situations which could endanger our children. The state also requires volunteers to submit a yearly CORI form.

Senior Altar Server
Men and women who assist at Mass or Funeral masses to enhance the worship of our faith community.

Stations of the Cross
Held Fridays during Lent. Please refer to the bulletin for exact times.

Usher
Volunteers who take up the collection during Mass.

Liturgical Linen Service
Responsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens.

Bereavement Ministry
This important ministry assists the priest and Funeral Directors in outreach to bereaved families. They help the family plan the funeral by assisting in selecting readings, hymns, assisting or conduction Vigil services (wakes) and/or gravesides commital services when the priest is not available. Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.

Fellowship Committee
Volunteers who coordinate social activities and gatherings of parishioners during the year.

Greeters
Parish volunteers who warmly welcome parishioners as they enter the Church for Mass.

Lector
Reader who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and other services.

Outreach to Homebound
Volunteer Eucharistic Ministers who bring the Eucharist to registered parishioners who are homebound.

OCIA
Order of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments.

Sacristan
Duties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass.

St. Vincent de Paul Society
Founded in 1948, the St. Vincent de Paul Society has strived to administer to the poor and needy of the parish. The work of the Vincentians is funded solely by the contributions deposited in the St. Vincent de Paul boxes at the exits of the church.

Community Kitchen
Normally on the third weekend of the month, volunteers prepare, cook and serve a nutritious meal for those in need.
